Getting Started

5 questions
  • What is Simyl Flow?

Simyl Flow is the outcomes platform for engineering teams navigating change. We measure what ships and sticks — connecting planning poker → standups → demos → retros → coaching into one flow, with health scores that show whether your changes are working.
  • What is Sprint Flow?

Sprint Flow is our name for the connected delivery flow: Plan (poker) → Execute (standups) → Review (demos) → Reflect (retros) → Grow (coaching). Everything flows together — estimates feed standups, blockers surface in retros, coaching notes build context, and health scores show whether your changes are working.
  • How does the free trial work?

Start with a 30-day free trial of all Growth features. No credit card required.
  • What templates are available?

    We offer 5 templates: Start/Stop/Continue, Went Well/Didn't Go Well, Mad/Sad/Glad, 4Ls (Liked/Learned/Lacked/Longed For), Custom.
  • Can I just use Simyl Flow for retrospectives?

Absolutely. Many teams start with just retrospectives on our Free plan. When you're ready to connect your full delivery flow—planning poker, standups, and coaching—you can upgrade anytime. Retros work great standalone.

Product

8 questions
  • What makes Simyl Flow different from other retro tools?

We combine project management data with code repository data to provide real metrics, not just sticky notes. AI analyzes actual sprint data to generate insights.
  • How does Planning Poker work?

Import items from Jira, Linear, CSV, Screenshot (AI extraction). Vote together in real-time, then push estimates back to Jira/Linear/Shortcut/GitHub Issues/GitLab Issues/Notion/ClickUp with one click.
  • How do Async Standups work?

Standups auto-generate activity summaries from your connected integrations—commits, PRs, and closed issues. AI condenses each developer's work into a clear update. Add blockers manually and track them to resolution.
  • Can I run live standups instead of async?

Yes. Switch to Live Standup mode for real-time facilitation with automatic presenter rotation and timers. On Growth plans, you can also enable built-in video conferencing with smart auto-mute — no Zoom link needed.
  • How do video standups work?

Video conferencing is built directly into the standup board. Only the current presenter is unmuted — everyone else is auto-muted with clear feedback. Facilitators can cut mic or extend time with one click. Available on Growth plans (1,500 attendee-minutes/month) and Enterprise (unlimited).
  • How does blocker tracking work?

Blockers added during standups flow into retrospectives automatically. AI identifies patterns across the team and can surface recurring blockers for discussion.
  • How do coaching notes work?

AI generates private coaching notes for each developer after retrospectives. Notes are visible only to you and your manager (if configured). They accumulate across sprints to track growth patterns.
  • What are effectiveness scores?

Effectiveness scores measure developer outcomes across 6 dimensions: Delivery, Flow, Quality, Collaboration, Ownership, and Adaptability. Scores are private by default and based on sprint data, not activity tracking.
