Sprint Review

The Sprint Review is where the Scrum Team presents the Increment to stakeholders and collaborates on what to do next.

Key points:

• Timebox: Maximum 4 hours for a one-month Sprint (2 hours for 2-week)
• Attendees: Scrum Team plus key stakeholders
• Output: Updated Product Backlog based on feedback

This is NOT a demo or sign-off session. It's a working session where stakeholders provide real feedback that shapes future work.

1. Set context (5 min)

• Recap the Sprint Goal
• What we set out to achieve

2. Demonstrate the Increment (varies)

• Show working software, not slides
• Let stakeholders interact with it if possible
• Focus on value delivered, not features built

3. Gather feedback (main event)

• What works well?
• What's missing or confusing?
• How does this change our understanding?

4. Discuss what's next (15 min)

• Product Owner adjusts the backlog based on feedback
• Upcoming milestones or releases
• Any changes to timeline or scope

Invite the right people: Stakeholders who can give meaningful feedback. Not just executives who nod along.

Make it interactive: Let people click around. Use real data if possible. Slides kill engagement.

Create safety: "What's missing?" is a better question than "Do you like it?" Encourage constructive criticism.

Capture feedback visibly: Write it down where everyone can see. Show that input matters.

End with next steps: What changes to the backlog? What's the focus for next Sprint?
